As a comedian who is a regular on Mock the Week and an actor well known for his lead role in BBC America’s Almost Royal, Ed Gamble is a skilled and seasoned performer.
With his “attention-grabbing liveliness and considerable flair”, as described by the Telegraph, Gamble is bringing his fifth solo stand-up tour titled ‘Blizzard’ to the North East.
After being educated at Durham University, he is returning to where his comedy career began by performing the new routine at the Gala Theatre, Durham on Sunday 3rd February.
It’s not only his confidence on stage that has earned him acclaim, such as winning a Chortle Award for Best Compere in 2014, but also his ingenious writing abilities. Ed was the co-writer and co-host of the Peacock and Gamble Podcast which was Chortle award-nominated and also topped the iTunes podcast charts. Additionally, he has co-written and appeared in four series of Greg Davies’ Man Down and has also written for Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
His witty and good-humoured, though self-deprecating, sense of humour marks Gamble out as an entertaining comedian for everyone; a comic not afraid to fire insults at the crowd, you are sure to laugh along with his personal observations. After selling out the whole run of his 2017 show ‘Mammoth’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, tickets for his latest show are sure to be well sought after.
Tickets, priced at £15.00 in advance, are available from galadurham.co.uk. The event starts at 20:00.
