With his one-liners mastered, Mock the Week regular Gary Delaney is bringing his brand new show for 2018, ‘Gagster’s Paradise’, to the North East this September.
The Witham in Barnard Castle is hosting the Chortle Award-nominated comedian on the third date of his UK tour, giving fans an exciting chance to see a comedian once described as ‘the man Jimmy Carr tries to be’ in a small, intimate venue.
The Solihull-born comic has just appeared on the most recent series of Live At The Apollo with new material. He promises to deliver his deadpan, close-to-the-knuckle comedy as the all-new ‘Gagster’s Paradise’ travels to nearly 60 venues around the UK.
In previous years, the double Sony Award-Winner has been a firm favourite at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival and will be trying out his new material in Scotland this summer. Delaney is the only comic ever to have scored two gags in the same Top Ten for Dave’s TV Funniest Jokes from the Edinburgh Fringe.
Boasting over 70,000 Twitter followers as a daily audience to his quick-witted comedy, Delaney has amassed a loyal following and his profile is at an all-time high.
The last time Delaney was in our region, his ‘There’s Something About Gary’ 2017 tour was extended due to high demand. With some of this approaching tour already selling out and an impressive set of accolades under his belt, this is certainly a show not to be missed.
Gary Delaney heads to The Witham, Barnard Castle on Saturday 8th September. Tickets, priced at £17.00, are available from thewitham.org.uk.
