On the back of last year’s successful celebration, Hartlepool’s Ha-Ha Festival of Laughs is back once more and is set to bring a weekend of hilarity and belly-aching laughter to Hartlepool’s One77 venue this month.
Opening the festival’s proceedings is young local comedian Lauren Pattison who, in 2017, earned a nomination for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival of that year.
Headlining Friday night is Liverpool’s Paul ‘Silky’ White who has earned great critical acclaim throughout his career with the Guardian stating: “White is a massively engaging guitar-playing stand-up whose instinctive rapport with audiences makes him welcome wherever he goes.”

As for Saturday night’s headliner, comedian, musician and presenter Tom Houghton is set to bring his hilarious set to the people of Hartlepool. He’s an accomplished posh-boy performer who levels the hilarity of Jack Whitehall with his material of middle-class tales, even warning “a lot of my material isn’t very relatable!”
Closing the festival on Sunday night is Northern Irish comic, Martin Mor. With over 30 years of experience as a professional performer on the UK circuit, Martin has established himself as one of the UK’s most popular and in-demand comedians and his performance at One77 this month is not to be missed.
