The Times has rightfully titled Jason Byrne as the ‘Outright King of Live Comedy’, and his royal hilariousness is on the road again for more comedy chaos as he heads to ARC, Stockton on Friday 9th November. Irish-born comedian and radio host Jason Byrne is well known for his improvisation and his typically unscripted live shows, most often involving audience participation. His comedy resume includes being a finalist in ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ in 1996, being nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 1998 and Perrier Award in 2001 and winning the Forth One Fringe Award in 2004 at the Edinburgh Festival.
Byrne has performed on numerous televised comedy shows too, ranging from BBC1’s ‘Live at the Apollo’ to ITV1’s ‘The Royal Variety Show’, Dave’s ‘Don’t Say It, Bring It’ and he was recently seen as a judge on Ireland’s Got Talent, sitting and commenting alongside Louis Walsh (X-Factor), Michelle Visage (American Singer and TV Host) and Denise van Outen (The Big Breakfast).
