Newcastle prepares to host stand-up comedian Milton Jones this month as he tours the UK with his latest show, ‘Milton Jones is Out There’.
Jones’ stand-up success is not just limited to the stage – it spans across TV, radio, and books. To date, he’s made recurring guest panellist appearances on Mock the Week, written several books including ‘Where Do Comedians Go When They Die?’, and has also had various shows on BBC’s Radio 4.
Jones’ wacky one-liner comedy has earned him a place on the list as one of the UK’s top comedy performers, with his surreal humour and set-ups defining his comedy and making it appealing in a unique way.
His previous two tours, ‘Milton Jones and the Temple of Daft’(2015) and ‘On the Road’ (2013), were witnessed by over 100,000 people and have laid the foundations for his 2017/18 tour to provide the people with more one-liners than they know what to do with.
Jones has also previously won the Perrier Best Newcomer award and is a Sony Award winner and British Comedy Award nominee. In 2012, Jones’ radio show was also nominated for the Writers Guild Award and he’s just finished its tenth season on Radio 4, providing a proven track record of success which he is sure to carry into this new tour.
Jones has also recorded live DVDs during previous tours including ‘The Universe – Part 1 – Earth’ (2009),’ Lion Whisperer’ (2011), and ‘On The Road’ (2013).
Expect the unexpected, live among the one-liners, and wear a crazy shirt because Milton Jones surely will when he takes to the stage.
Milton Jones will perform at Newcastle City Hall on Saturday 18th November. Tickets, priced at £29.00 in advance, are available from theatreroyal.co.uk.
