Patrick Monahan will make his way to Redcar this month for a Christmas comedy spectacular.
As seen on BBC One’s ‘Let’s Dance for Sport Relief’ and ITV’s ‘Splash’, Pat is a regular on the UK comedy circuit and has been extremely popular for a long time thanks to his chatty, friendly style and hilarious storytelling.
Not only one of the biggest names on the comedy circuit, Pat is also highly in demand as a studio warm-up, working on shows such as ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’ and ‘The IT Crowd’; and he’s often seen on-screen on ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’ as well as appearing on various Comedy Central programmes.
Joining Pat we have multi-award winning comedian Carl Hutchinson, having won the Beat The Frog World Series and Magners’ Comedian of the Year in 2007. As seen on ITV’s ‘FHM Comedy Hero’, and having performed at the highly-respected Big Value Comedy Showcase in Edinburgh in 2011, Carl performed his first solo hour at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival where it was shortlisted in the Amused Moose Awards and received outstanding reviews from all of the major festival press.
Hosting this merry gigglefest is Abi Roberts who exploded onto the stand-up comedy scene in 2011 after a number of years as a musical and cabaret performer. She was a finalist in the prestigious Harrogate Comedy Festival 2012 Comedian of the Year, a finalist in the Comedy Store’s Costa Light competition in 2011 and she is a previous winner of the much sought-after Peter Ackermann Comedy Award – an award for outstanding comedy performances, awarded annually by Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
This show, which takes place on Saturday 16th December, will also feature Monty Burns and Anth Young. Tickets, priced at £20.00 (which also includes a hog roast) are available from Tuned In!, Redcar and seetickets.com.
