Paul Smith can only be described with positivity and hilarity throughout his journey in the world of UK comedy. If being a respected and valued resident of the esteemed Liverpudlian comedy club ‘Hot Water Comedy’ isn’t enough to reveal the magnitude of Paul’s career, then perhaps the many line-ups and features across the UK will.
Being the winner of Liverpool’s New Comedian of the Year Award and being a finalist in The Leicester Comedian of the Year competition, Paul’s quick wit and friendly nature have proved popular with the English crowd.
Paul Smith’s official UK 2018 Tour has already taken place in Liverpool, Cardiff, Belfast and most recently in Birmingham, but his medicinal laughter will also arrive in Newcastle this September at the Theatre Royal.
Titled ‘Hiya Mate’, the show will feature the Scouse comic’s hilarious tales of his life. In addition to this, Paul will heavily involve the Geordie audience in the creation of his jokes as he’s incredibly skilled in drawing ideas and influences from the crowd, manifesting them into stupidly funny jokes and tropes that audience members at Theatre Royal are sure to explode with laughter about.
Paul Smith’s ‘Hiya Mate’ will take place at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th September. Doors open at 19:00 and the running times are dependent on the individual nights. Tickets are priced at £21.75 and can be found online at theatreroyal.co.uk where you can also find out more about the show.
