After debuting her brand new show, ‘Domestic Disaster’, at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Susie McCabe brings her highly acclaimed, hard-hitting comedy to Newcastle this month.
Regular compering and headlining at top comedy clubs, two highly successful solo runs at The Edinburgh Fringe and four sell-out shows at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival have all helped springboard Susie to become a firm festival favourite and one of the most sought-after performers in the UK.
With past hit shows such as ‘Let’s Get Physical’’ looking at the health challenges associated with being a smoker and an “unhealthy” eater, ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’, looking at Susie’s battle with depression, and ‘There’s More to Life Than Happiness’ which concludes that being happy isn’t about buying stuff, Susie’s brilliant storytelling, acute observations and unique brand of cynicism are now employed in ‘Domestic Disaster’, where Susie looks at why she is “generally rubbish and a disaster at all things domestic and more” and what this might say about her.
With reviews including: “The ever-reliable Susie McCabe” from The Scotsman, “Prepare to laugh yourself silly” from Three Weeks and “A naturally funny storyteller, a genuine stand-up, highly recommended” by comedian Kevin Bridges, this is definitely going to be a show to disperse the greyness of the late autumn evenings.
Susie McCabe heads to The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on Sunday 18th November. Tickets, priced at £12.00 in advance, are available from thestand.co.uk.
