Are you still feeling the January blues? Well, don’t worry because Paul Richards and his ‘choir’ will help you get back into the swing of things as they make their way to The Exchange in North Shields on Saturday 9th February.
Fresh from two consecutive years at the Edinburgh Fringe, join award-winning drumming comedian Paul Richards (“a puppy wired on own-brand energy drink, you wouldn’t believe he ever sleeps” — The Swindonian) as he struggles to control his very merry ‘choir’ of comedians in their bid to tell you the entire history of pop music in just 90 minutes – it’s going to be difficult, but somebody has to do it (I’m just glad it isn’t me).
Packed with special guests and surprises throughout the hour and a half production, this gloriously messy singalong show will find our loveable/shambolic ensemble attempt to perform 55 songs in 90 minutes with a whole host of inevitable distractions…what could possibly go wrong?
If you love pop music, witty humour, and enjoy hanging on to the edge of your seat then this show is definitely for you.
As The Write Angle recently noted prior to the Edinburgh Fringe show: “This riotously funny show might just be the funniest hour you spend at this year’s fringe. Everyone was in stitches throughout.”
Tickets, priced at £10.00 for adults and £8.50 concessions (Under 16, Students and Over 60), are available from The Exchange Box Office, by calling the venue on 0191 258 4111, or by heading to attheexchange.info.
