For one night only, an exclusive event is coming to the North East and it’s an event you really should get excited about.
On Friday 8th September, Loveshack – one of Durham’s top nightclubs – will be taken over by Dr. Loosenecks’ Alternative Nightmare Collective. The event will be a fascinating evening like no other; with organisers bringing a wide range of extraordinary acts to the North East including, but not limited to, aerial, fire, stilt and pyro performers, magicians and live music.
One of the acts attending the evening is World Walker – a stilt walking, robotic alien unit from the North East who recently returned from their weekend of performing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Expect the unexpected from start to finish, and prepared to be amazed, with the talented duo of Phoenix and Killpop Suicide who recently returned from their performances of fire and pyro entertainment at this year’s Download Festival.
Also bringing a touch of class and befuddlement to the evening and spiralling out of control is aerial performer Miss Rosy Bloomers alongside street performer Hap Hazzardly, and good meets evil magicians Ryan Phelps, the British Hustle, and Ross William.
This cavalcade of entertainment will be performing to the soundtrack of North East eerie progressive ska merchants Spooky Jefferson’s Ideal Lunch Box – a dark/progressive ska band from Washington, Tyne and Wear. The whimsical seven-piece outfit will provide nothing short of pure entertainment; using an eclectic mix diverse styles and theatrical entertainment all mixed together to form an out-of-this-world horror concoction like no other.
The venue hosting the event is one of Durham’s busiest nightclubs, Loveshack. Located in the heart of the city, on the Watergate Complex, it has an impressive 600-person capacity.
Tickets, priced at £8.00, are available from Loveshack and The Angel in Durham or online at seetickets.com. Doors open at 6:00 pm.
