Celebrate the New Year with classic punk rockers, 999, as they take to the stage of The Georgian Theatre in Stockton as part of a string of gigs across the UK, Germany, and Poland.
Forming back in the 1970s in London, the band celebrated their 40-year anniversary in early December last year and are still performing with the same raw punk vigour as they did 40 years ago.
The band were quick to establish themselves as a strong force to be reckoned with amongst the punk scene across London and released their self-titled debut album in 1978, two years after their formation. The album features their renowned hit single, ‘Emergency’, which has received critical acclaim over the band’s career, having featured in Mojo magazine’s list of the best punk singles of all time.
Throughout their career, the band has toured most of the world, playing sold-out shows to ecstatic punk lovers across Europe and America predominantly with the band having completed 36 UK tours and 15 tours across the US.
Expect a night of heavy 1970s punk-rock with one of the best and longest-running British bands from the punk scene who continue to prove that punk still has a place in the 21st century.
Support for the event comes from three North East-based bands that are making waves across the punk scene: Snide Remarks, The Hangmen, and Kickback Generation.
