Governed by Cardiff-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Davey Newington, Boy Azooga is a musical celebration poised for great success. And this month, Davey will joined by friends Daf Davies, Dylan Morgan and Sam Barnes as they command the stage of Cobalt Studios in Newcastle’s East End.
With both of his parents former members of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Davey was no stranger to the depths of music growing up and was inspired by early memories of family favourites as well as an array of seminal artists such as The Beach Boys, Can and even Black Sabbath.
Boy Azooga’s debut offering, ‘1,2 Kung Fu’ is an example of Davey’s virtuosity and is an acclaimed LP almost certain to impress when performed live later this month.
Boy Azooga play Newcastle’s Cobalt Studios on Saturday 13th October with support coming from Man of Moon. Tickets, priced at £9.50 (including booking fee), can be purchased online at seetickets.com.
