Call yourself a fan of Anglo-American folk music? Then you certainly don’t want to miss out this month as Cath & Phil Tyler make their way to ARC, Stockton.
She was a member of the band Cordelia’s Dad in the 1990s when she lived in Massachusetts, USA. He is from Newcastle and has played in various folk, rock and ceilidh bands for many years. Together, they are Cath and Phil Tyler and they have joined together through a mutual adoration for traditional narrative songs.
The sounds of their voices accompanying a harmonious harp and mountain banjo indicate their presence, a presence that has been seen from London’s Royal Opera House to a dark and dank tower in the older portions of Newcastle.
The duo will perform at ARC, Stockton on Saturday 17th November.
Tickets, priced at £8.50, are available from arconline.co.uk.
