Renowned as one of Newcastle’s finest up-and-coming bands, FEVA has recently announced their next headline show at Think Tank?, Newcastle on Saturday 10th March – so it’s time to get excited. This upcoming date is the sequel performance to their first headliner at Jumpin’ Jacks in December 2017, a gig which sold out in just a few short weeks.
FEVA has often been referred to as ‘one of the hardest working bands in the North East’, sharing stages with artists such as Anteros, The Old Pink House, Baby Strange and Otherkin in the past year.
Their recent supporting performance at Riverside for The Pale White’s January performance was particularly interesting as their set was filled with new heavier tracks that are expected to be released early this year.
Their constant gigging has quickly built up a committed following in the North East music scene, with ticketholders often arriving not just for the headlining bands, but for FEVA too. It is not common for audiences to enjoy a support band as much as the headliners, but this can be said for anyone who has experienced FEVA’s live shows.
The high-energy four-piece is led by guitarist/vocalist, Sam Reynolds, who is easily recognisable due to his lively nature and on-stage personality. Larger stages are more accommodative to this band, as Reynolds is often caught climbing over monitors and onto pretty much anything available to him. That isn’t to say that their shows in smaller venues have been anything less than amazing. Personal highlights include Tynemouth Surf Café, Think Tank? Underground and Riverside. The ‘high rising indie rock outfit’ definitely know how to put on a show that is truly unforgettable.
