Folkish Fusion is a continuation of the philosophy of Folkish Explosion that has been a magical happening in Newcastle each year for three years – and now the concept is heading to Darlington’s historic Majestic Theatre this month.
“We believe in giving original and talented artists the opportunity that they deserve to share with an open-minded audience, what they have discovered in the way of art. It’s a night that is made by the audience as much as the acts – an audience that recognises many of the most moving artists are not heard of by most people” – stated the event organiser.
Expect an evening of only the best and most exciting gems of Americana, country, folk and rock, alongside a 16-piece community choir. The choir will be performing and collaborating with North East band Driven Serious at the end of the night. This will be a spectacular show, but with a small enough audience to maintain a level of intimacy. Feel free to stay at the bar and chat with the performers – there will be plenty to meet! Organisers added: “We’re confident that there will be a convivial, warm and exuberant atmosphere as there has been for Folkish Explosion for the past few years.”
The full confirmed line for Folkish Fusion includes Ol’ Glory, The Dead Seat, Choral Interlude and Driven Serious.
Folkish Fusion is not to be missed so be sure to grab tickets while you can.
