Gringo Star, the Atlanta quartet who have been gigging relentlessly across America, will venture into the European leg of their tour throughout February – and they’ll be heading to Newcastle to play the intimate The Cluny on Friday 15th.
The American four-piece will be bringing with them a patchwork setlist infused by 60’s psychedelic grooves and garage-rock mellowed by western tones nodding to illustrious predecessors such as Buddy Holly, The Kinks and The Beach Boys.
The band’s discography is made up of five albums and among those is their new release, ‘Back to the City’, which was released in August.
Gringo Star emits an insouciant manner whilst performing their softer sounding music; however, their upbeat songs are guaranteed to inject the crowd with energy.
The band will head to The Cluny, Newcastle on Friday 15th February. Tickets, priced at £10.00 in advance, are available from thecluny.com.
