Well, let me begin by saying a big Happy Birthday to the Lost In The Woods team as they celebrate five years of amazing nights and incredible line-ups of live entertainment and DJs with a typically flamboyant and energetic night of projections, lights and music.
Lost In The Woods #10, taking place on Friday 7th December at The Green Room in Stockton, looks set to be another great night. Previous events have featured epic live performances from Warm Digits and Parastatic amongst many, many others and always deliver the goods with the best music and visuals to treat your ears and eyes.
Hosting the night will be Teesside ensemble psych-folk rockers Silver Trees. This is the band’s first live outing in the North East since The Gathering back in July – and they really know how to deliver a packed and varied show. With influences from a wide range of genres, Silver Trees’ live show ranges from trippy, atmospheric electronica to stoner rock and everything in between; not to say the live show is haphazard, they seamlessly float from one influence to another.
“If you are thinking of going, I recommend you get a ticket sooner rather than later”
Joining Silver Trees are equally diversely influenced North East Krautrock/Psychadelia band Behold A Pale Horse who are another act with a top-class reputation for putting on a storming show of swirling beats, FX, guitars and vocals. Behold A Pale Horse have had a very busy year with gigs throughout the North East including Lindisfarne Festival and Evolution Emerging amongst many others.
Completing the live line-up is duo Warped Freqs consisting of Marcus H and Phil Davis who have generated keen interest on the local scene since their formation in 2016. Accompanying the live acts, the Lost In The Woods DJ Collective will be on hand to keep things moving apace and there is also set to be an after-party at a venue that’s soon to be confirmed.
If you’ve not had a chance to catch any of these great bands individually, this is the ideal opportunity to experience them at their mind-bending best, together in the Lost In The Woods environment of visual and auditory richness.
Lost In The Woods events through the years have been very popular, so if you are thinking of going, I recommend you get a ticket sooner rather than later. Tickets, priced at £5.00 in advance (plus booking fee), are available from the venue and at wegottickets.com.
