This month, The Studio in Hartlepool opens its doors and welcomes London-based indie six-piece Mono Club for what is sure to be a monumental night of incredible live music.
The band formed back in 2016 and is the musical collaboration between members of Goldheart Assembly and Lyla Foy.
With a blend of 1960s psych, 90s slacker-indie and modern alt-pop, Mono Club draw influence from such artists as The Go-Betweens, Yo La Tengo, NEU!, The Zombies and Tame Impala and have so far enjoyed a host of critical support.
Their first single, ‘Sky High and Submarine’, was greeted favourably upon its release and was playlisted on BBC 6 Music, receiving support from Steve Lamacq.
Mono Club performs at Hartlepool’s The Studio on Saturday 4th August with doors opening at 20:00. Tickets, priced at £5.50 (including booking fee), are available to purchase online at seetickets.com.
