If the name doesn’t immediately ring any bells with you, I’ll help you out: Hugh Cornwell was the singer and guitarist in the very widely played and much-admired band, The Stranglers.
Not satisfied with crafting classic songs such as ‘Golden Brown’ and ‘Always the Sun’ with The Stranglers, Hugh has continued throughout the decades to compose, record and perform as a solo artist.
His most recent solo album, ‘Monster’, was released on Thursday 4th October and is followed up with gigs all over the UK.
Hugh will be bringing his show to The Georgian Theatre in Stockton on Sunday 11th November before making his way to The Cluny in Newcastle on Tuesday 13th November.
Opening with a whole set of solo material, including some tracks from the new album, he will then return to the stage with his band for a second set full of iconic Stranglers tracks.
