There’s some fantastic news for music lovers in Teesside this month. Brand new micro bar, The Halt, situated in the northern quarter of Redcar, has just opened – and the bar will centre on keeping music live.
Owned by two local musicians, the newly opened bar will host live music every Friday and Saturday night, with an Open Mic night planned to take place every Tuesday too.
Leaning towards the indie spectrum, the bar is about to launch a brand new music night called ‘The IndieGo Sessions’ with high-profile names such as Tom Hingley (ex-Inspiral Carpets), Chris Helme (The Seahorses) and Nigel Clark (Dodgy) all set to make their way to Redcar over the coming months. Owner Lee Chapman Shore added: “We have more high-profile events lined up throughout 2019 too”.
