18-year-old aspiring musician Oliver Green from Newcastle has picked up his trusted guitar to deliver us a fresh new single.
The North East singer-songwriter has been hard at work on his new indie solo project, Fever Days, with the aim of gathering the attention of North East indie music lovers and collaborating with other local bands/artists in hope of helping him to achieve his dream of becoming a well-known name both in our region and also across the UK.
To boot up his project, Oliver has released brand single, ‘Bored’. The single has a close resemblance to Jamie T’s style with its zany and intelligent lyrics that often spins on the pacing of the song. The single is a great listen with its catchy and rhythmic vocals that sync fantastically well with its rapid guitar riffs; plus there’s an element of reverb which gives the single a techno-rock vibe.
Oliver Green really shows his talent for amalgamating a range of instruments and techniques within the song – we’ve got a variety of bass, guitar, synth and vocal aspects all creating this resounding anthem. Narrative-wise, the song tells the tale of how Oliver grew bored of the mediocrity of life and decided to work on a song – pretty meta if I do say so myself.
If you want to give Oliver some support, be sure to give the song a listen at soundcloud.com/feverdaysarehere. And for further information about the project, please head to Facebook.com/feverdaysarehere.
