Newcastle’s very own four-piece rock band, A New Nowhere, has been crafting an album all September and, thankfully, their latest single has just been released.
With their influences including bands such as Nirvana, Biffy Clyro, Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters, it’s a grungy, in-your-face track that has your attention right from the off.
‘Their brand new single, ‘Lightning’, has just struck and like the electric discharge itself, this single is loud, big and should be heard by all rock fans.
The single follows your typical rocky anthem in terms of its electric guitars and drum beats, so there’s nothing really unique here, but fans of Nirvana would be more than pleased with this piece of grungy music.
The strong vocals displayed throughout the single creates high levels of tension that grabs the listener and makes them want to scream along with the lyrics (I apologise to my neighbours who more than likely heard me screeching). And I personally found that frontman, Mark Gregg, offered an outstanding performance that, when witnessing to this single live, I’m certain the crowd would go wild for! To put it simply, missing this rock band would be sinful!
The band released their new single ‘Lightning’ on Saturday 30th September – so go and give it a listen. The single even has its own music video to boot and can be found on YouTube now! And for further information about the band head to Facebook.com/anewnowhere.
