Musical groups are a strange phenomenon: some bands get together simply because they’re looking for something to do and then there are those bands that work hard to create something that sounds effortless. Well, Newcastle hard rock five-piece, Tomorrow is Lost, proves to be the latter.
Their debut single, ‘Insane,’ has just been released and a host of eager fans – that the band has steadily earned during the first year of being together – have managed to get their hands on something which, at times, is rather special.
From the opening of the track, it sincerely surprises me that this is a band that has only been together for a short period of time as the song has just as much production value and mastery as something you would expect from a rock band that has been in the industry for a long time.
However, the polished sound and classic rock stylings are marred only by the niggling feeling that this it’s rather generic at times and the band could have been a little bit more adventurous. That being said, this is their first single, and it’s a good attempt, but I can only hope that they expand their musical talents for their next release – they don’t need to play as safe as they have this time around.
‘Insane’ by Tomorrow is Lost was released today as is available now on both iTunes and Spotify.
