Welcome to the state of mind! Durham-based pop/rock band, Twister, played the Georgian Theatre in Stockton to launch their latest single, ’64 White Lies’.
Following the release of their highly-anticipated album ‘Combined State Of Mind’ at Newcastle’s O2 Academy back in May this year, the band has since continued to blow crowds away with their completely unique sound, playing at venues up and down the UK.
The band was even lucky enough to have their newest single, ’64 White Lies’, played on Kerrang Radio ahead of their launch party in Stockton, with the release receiving positive reviews from fans and critics – and it’s not hard to see why.
The night began with an exclusive acoustic set for VIP ticket holders which saw the band play through their own material as well as covers for a packed out room – showcasing their musical ability stripped back to its rawest form. The VIP bundle also included a copy of their album, ‘Refined State Of Mind’, featuring their fantastic new single.
The band was supported by Stockton heavy rock band, Nephilim, and Your Illuminations – a pop-rock trio from the heart of Yorkshire who hyped up the crowd ahead of Twister’s set.
Consisting of frontman Stevie Stoker, guitarist Jake Grimes, bassist Matt Whitaker and drummer Joe Major, it’s obvious that Twister share more than just a love of music as their chemistry on stage with each other is second to none.
The show, which was a well-orchestrated masterpiece from start to finish, showcased their greatest hits including ‘Trees’, ‘Monroe’, ‘Feeding Frenzy’, ‘Watch Over You’ and ‘Trading Hearts’, before the sensational new single, ’64 White Lies’, which their fans couldn’t get enough of.
For anyone who hasn’t seen this band live I can’t recommend going to see them enough. The on-stage chemistry, powerful vocals and stunning visuals are on a whole new level and I can’t wait to see what they go on to achieve in the coming months.
