This month, Stockton's Georgian Theatre will play host to Hilton Valentine - one of the country's best loved rock artists.
Hilton made his name in the British rock scene as guitarist for legendary sixties group, The Animals. For many, The Animals were a quintessentially British rock act who paved the way for generations of musicians to come. Valentine himself has been awarded numerous accolades within the music industry and has since continued on with his solo work, which has been highly acclaimed by fans and critics alike. His solo work has, of course, a more stripped down sound but it certainly proves to be moving and hard-hitting.
Audiences can expect a smaller, more intimate show than you’d expect from an Animals gig, with Valentine taking centre stage in venues that have more of a personal meaning to him. Having spent his youth growing up in North Shields, he is able to connect with North East audiences in a way that not a lot of artists can.
As a solo artist, Valentine has amassed a strong fan-base worldwide and continues to perform Animals classics. Having already been inducted into the Rock ‘n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, Hilton also earned a spot on Hollywood's Rock Walk of Fame, as well as debuting a massive catalogue of original material.
Hilton Valentines' performance will take place on Saturday 17th June at the newly renovated Georgian Theatre in Stockton, with a minimum age limit of 18. Tickets are priced at £12.00 in advance or £15.00 on the door.
