Scottish comedy star Gary Meikle is heading to Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday 5th September with his brand-new stand-up show, Yer Maw. Packed with sharp storytelling, quick-fire observations and down-to-earth humour, it is another chance to see one of the UK’s most popular comedians live.
Drawing on the funny side of everyday life, Gary has built a loyal fanbase by turning relatable situations into stories that regularly leave audiences in stitches. His previous tours have sold out across the UK, and Yer Maw continues his tradition of taking a completely new show on the road each year.
Gary admits he does not entirely know where the show will end up before the tour begins, but that is part of what keeps it exciting. Expect around 90 minutes of fresh material covering family life, the bizarre situations we all find ourselves in and, naturally, at least one classic ‘yer maw’ joke. It is the kind of observational comedy that has made Gary such a hit with audiences.
If you have seen Gary live before, you will know exactly what to expect: plenty of laughs, stories that feel instantly familiar and audience interaction that ensures no two nights are quite the same. If you have not, Yer Maw is the perfect place to start.
Tickets, priced at £30.50 in advance, are available at boxoffice.middlesbrough.gov.uk.
