Gosforth Civic Theatre is celebrating its 10th anniversary in style with a packed three-day Beer Festival from Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August, featuring live music, great food, craft activities and, of course, plenty of excellent beer.
Each day offers something a little different. The opening night promises an energetic start, with funk favourites TWIG providing the soundtrack while visitors can enjoy delicious food from Hizzy’s Pizza alongside the venue’s own in-house catering.
Saturday is designed with all ages in mind. Family-friendly craft activities will take place throughout the day, while Meat:Stack will be serving its renowned burgers. As evening falls, expect an eclectic musical line-up, with genre-hopping favourites Jamagotchi followed by the smooth blend of jazz and indie from Phantom Bagman.
Sunday brings a more relaxed, mini-festival atmosphere, showcasing performances from local musicians, including indie-folk outfit The Early Purple, alongside a selection of retro and modern games for visitors to enjoy.
Naturally, beer remains the star attraction throughout the weekend. Better still, your ticket includes a festival wristband granting access for all three days, as well as a branded pint glass to take home.
The festival is also dog-friendly, with water bowls available around the site to keep four-legged visitors refreshed.
Opening times are 4.00pm–11.00pm on Friday, 12.00pm–11.00pm on Saturday, and 12.00pm–6.00pm on Sunday.
Gosforth Civic Theatre is fully accessible and wheelchair-friendly, although on-site parking may be limited.
Tickets are free for children and £8 for adults (18+).
