It’s been quite a year for new melodic prog-rock band, Stuckfish.
Following the release of debut album ‘Calling’ in February, the reviews have been unanimously positive, with our own writer Damian Robinson noting: “Set inside a universe of Iron Maiden-style riffs, Dave Gilmour guitar solos and stories about regrets, dreams and searching, Stuckfish do a great job of creating new worlds.”
The band started out as a collaboration between singer Phil Stuckey and guitarist Ade Fisher who are the songwriting partnership but the band has been completed with the additions of experienced and talented musicians Alan Gibson (keyboard), Micky Kerrigan (drums) and Danny Stephenson (bass).
The band are now rehearsing for their first outing – which takes place at Magnesia Bank in North Shields on Tuesday 11th September – and work has already begun on the second album which they hope to release in the Spring of 2019.
