Prolific would be an understatement when describing Pheromoans’ recorded output over their 18-year existence, with the band now on their 13th LP after releasing ‘Wyrd Psearch’ in March.
The band occupy a space somewhere between The Fall, kraut-rockers Faust and a hint of classic British indie-rock like Television Personalities – but the truth is, their sound is their own.
From driving motorik-backed head nodders to introspective, dreamy psychedelia, to quirky electronic-driven post-punk, it’s all held together by vocalist Russell Walker’s distinctive acerbic vocal narratives.
You can catch them at The Lubber Fiend in Newcastle on Saturday 6th July. Support comes from avant-pop outsider, Kilyn Lunsford.
Tickets, priced at £10.00 in advance, are available at thelubberfiend.com.
