One of North Yorkshire’s most popular summer events is set to return this July, bringing a full weekend of live music, family entertainment, food, drink and festival fun to thousands of visitors.
Summer Sound Tribute Music Festival takes place over two days and has become a firm favourite on the region’s events calendar, attracting more than 5,000 people from across the North East and Yorkshire.
This year’s event promises to be the biggest yet, with organisers introducing new attractions, more live entertainment and even greater value for festival-goers.
Saturday’s adults-only festival day has been expanded into one huge celebration of live music, featuring more tribute acts than ever before, including performances celebrating the music of Coldplay, Robbie Williams, Sam Fender and Lewis Capaldi. Visitors can also enjoy extended stage times and the introduction of a brand-new Disco Marquee. The marquee will host a dedicated DJ playing classic 1970s and 1980s hits throughout the day and into the evening, creating an additional entertainment area alongside the main stage performances.
Festival-goers can also enjoy an expanded range of street food vendors offering everything from pizza and Greek cuisine to local favourites, alongside cocktail bars, festival stalls, a funfair and a spectacular fireworks finale.

Sunday sees the return of the hugely popular Family Fun Day, offering a packed programme of entertainment for all ages. This year’s line-up includes performances from the K-POP Superstars, a Take That tribute, a Taylor Swift tribute, a Sabrina Carpenter tribute and an Eminem tribute, alongside more than six hours of live music.
Away from the stage, families can enjoy a larger funfair, giant inflatables, a dinosaur experience, a pirate show, stilt walkers, meet-and-greet characters, face painting and a wide variety of family activities throughout the day.
For those looking to upgrade their experience, the festival’s VIP areas have also been enhanced, with Sunday VIP ticket holders benefiting from direct access to the front of the stage, private bar facilities and dedicated toilets.
Festival organiser Jason Bushby said: “We’ve listened to feedback from previous years and focused on delivering even more value for our customers. We’ve added more entertainment, more food choices, more stalls and more live music, while also reducing ticket prices, introducing additional discount options and removing booking fees. We want Summer Sound to be an affordable and memorable experience for everyone.”
With ticket sales already running ahead of last year’s figures, organisers are encouraging visitors to book early before discounted ticket offers come to an end.
Summer Sound Festival takes place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July and is expected to attract its largest crowd to date.
