The Futureheads rose to prominence as part of the post-punk revival of the early 2000s. Taking their influences from the likes of Gang of Four, XTC, and Wire, their sound is full of angular guitars and staccato rhythms. They released their self-titled debut in 2004 and have gone on to release five more studio albums since.
In November of last year, they released ‘Decent Days and Nights: The Singles’ on the excellent Cherry Red Records. They are touring in support of this release, playing a set of their most popular and successful hits this month and in March, culminating in a performance at The Boiler Shop in Newcastle on Sunday 2nd March.
Tickets, priced at £26.50 in advance, are available from boilershop.net.
