We have a fantastic return from Alistair James after some recent health setbacks that have stalled things for him over the last year.
This cracking rock ‘n’ roll stomper, entitled ‘It’s Time to Move On’, is an uplifting earworm that Alistair claims is: “a personal anthem” and message of perseverance through his recent ordeals.
Alistair James is always one to produce a catchy sing-along classic – and this is delivered with all of the expected ingredients.
The song’s general vibe presents hints of flavours from earlier influential eras – I am certainly getting a taste suggestion of The Kinks and The Byrds from this release – and it is a song that Ray Davies himself would be proud of.
It’s great to hear a song that is instantly memorable after just one play, and I can see this being a very popular song in Alistair’s live repertoire.
All this track now requires is someone to light the fuse on a radio playlist and watch it fly – but it gets top marks from me.
