Named after graffiti left on a wall in Middlesbrough, Thought Trumpet is, in fact, one talented individual in Chris Scanlon.
New track, ‘Here Comes the Smoke’, is a catchy piece of garage/grunge-rock that is snappy and is insanely infectious (like getting influenza). The chorus is so powerful and contagious that every time you see a fire you will be singing: “Here comes the smoke” – I promise you, you will.
This song is a great introduction to Thought Trumpet, showing you his songwriting and composing abilities, staying true to the DIY principles and producing a fast and in-your-face grunge explosion.
The make-up of the song is created by turning up the distortion, placing a fast pulsating garage beat to it, hammering out some memorable guitar riffs and distorting the aggressive vocals.
