The Bowes Museum is set to play host to an exhibition that will delight audiences of all ages with its residency for ‘The Adventures of Clara’.
From Saturday 17th July to Halloween, visitors will get the chance to follow Clara the rhinoceros who, back in 1738, was the most famous rhino in Europe as she travelled the world acting as an exciting exhibit and as a source of inspiration for so many who crossed her path.
Now, her story is set to arrive in the North East as guests of the museum will be able to follow the marvels of her travels with interactive experiences that engage the sights, sounds and even smells on Clara’s travelling tour.
Audiences will not only get an education into Clara’s past and her life but there is also information throughout the exhibit on how we, as a society, can help protect the rhinos of today and to ensure that there is a future for rhinos and the potential for more experiences like Clara’s.
