Liverpool’s finest young stand-up talent, Adam Rowe, is set to delight South Tyneside comedy fans with a double dose of side-splitting gags and tomfoolery as he heads to the Customs House for two dates on his latest tour.
Named Liverpool’s Hot Water Comedy Club’s Comedian of the Year 2011, Adam has been making waves on the live comedy scene since he gave up studying his Maths degree at the University of Liverpool to pursue a career in stand-up.
Widely regarded as an exciting young comedic talent, Rowe has risen from a prodigious newcomer to an international headliner since his debut back in 2010, quickly becoming one of the most heavily sought-after acts across the UK’s biggest comedy clubs and festivals and also performing and headlining at clubs in the Middle East and the United States.
He has since gone on to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018, with his skit ‘Undeniable’ being described as vital and fresh and also going on to win him the funniest joke at the festival that year with a joke about working at a jobcentre.
Returning the following year, his show, ‘Pinnacle’, was later described as another irrepressible and articulate hour by a rising talent.
He has also appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live Show, Fighting Talk, on the award-winning Liverpool-based podcast The Anfield Wrap, as well as appearing on Live at the Apollo, The Stand-up Sketch Show and Roast Battle.
Adam also hosts his own podcast entitled ‘Have a Word’, along with fellow comedian Dan Nightingale, as well as having opened as a support act for fellow comedy peers Jason Manford, Bill Burr and Andrew Schultz.
He’s known for his natural laid-back persona combined with brutal honesty, opinionated stand-up and timeless ad-libbing ability which makes each of his performances unique, unpredictable and hilarious.
His latest tour, entitled ‘Imperious’, will see him travel to Nottingham, Birmingham, Chester, Leeds, Runcorn, Darwen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, South Shields, Cardiff, Sandbach, Shrewsbury, Manchester, Blackpool, London, Chorley, Hull, Stockton, Lincoln, Bristol, Isle of Man, Sheffield, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin, and Liverpool.
Adam Rowe head to Customs House, South Shields on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th March. Tickets, priced at £15.00 in advance, are available from customshouse.co.uk.
