Comedians Kiri Pritchard McLean and Rob Auton will headline what promises to be a hilarious bill at The Stand in Newcastle this month.
Winner of The Chortle Awards’ ‘Best Compere’ and ‘Best Club Comedian’ in 2018, Pritchard McLean has talent that has not gone unnoticed.
Her debut show, ‘Hysterical Woman’, first graced the stage at The Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 – such was the demand of this show, it then transferred to Soho Theatre in June 2017.
The British Comic is both director and writer for sketch group ‘Geins Family Gift Shop’ which itself has received accolades including an Edinburgh Comedy Awards nomination in 2014 for ‘Best Newcomer’ and a Chortle Awards nomination in 2015.
She has made numerous TV appearances including on Russell Howard’s ‘Stand Up Central’ on Comedy Central, ITV’s ‘Elevenish’ and multiple appearances on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Now Show’, ‘The News Quiz’ and ‘Ellis James: State of the Nation’.

Performing alongside Pritchard McLean is fresh-faced Yorkshire comic Rob Auton who The Guardian has described as ‘The Brian Cox of Comedy.’
The comedian covers a variety of topics including yellow, the sky, faces, prickly lyricism of Bob Dylan, Pablo Picasso, Bruce Springsteen and golfing great Arnold Palmer with regards to the importance of working. He has been a popular act at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2014 with his performance of ‘Faceshow’ describing his own work, in past interviews, as: “my shows definitely come from an amazement.”
