Fancy a night of good old-fashioned stand-up? Well, there’s a pretty cracking line-up heading to Bishop Auckland on Friday 18th September, as Hilarity Bites brings a mix of familiar faces and alternative comedy to Bishop Auckland Town Hall.
Headlining is Josh Jones, who you might recognise from 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Jonathan Ross Show and Late Night Mash. He’s also been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and has sold-out shows at the Fringe, so you can probably expect a pretty lively set.
Jenny Hart is also on the bill, bringing her dark and dirty style of comedy to Bishop Auckland. A British Comedian of the Year finalist and two-time winner of Best Alternative Act, Jenny mixes stand-up with songs and crowd work.
Danny Deegan will be keeping things moving on the night. A comedian, writer and actor, Danny has been doing this for more than 20 years and is well known on the North East comedy circuit.
There’s also a newer act on the bill, giving you the chance to discover someone you might not have seen before.
It’s a good mix of comedy styles, with plenty to keep the night moving and, hopefully, a few surprises along the way. A decent way to spend a Friday night for those who really want a good old laugh.
