Edinburgh Fringe Festival performer, Laura Lexx and Game of Thrones star, Ben Crompton will bring their laughter-filled sets to Stockton this month.
Amused Moose Comedy Award finalist, Lexx has previously performed at numerous high-profile events including Latitude, Larmer Tree Festival, Bestival and Kendal Calling. She is also a troupe member of the prestigious Comedians Cinema Club.
Lexx made the headlines in 2016 after a memorable battle with a judgemental male heckler. Performing at Krater Comedy Night at Komedia Comedy Club, Lexx was mid-set when a man in the crowd shouted: “I thought it would be a man” to which Lexx replied: “Welcome to 2016, mate” to the delight of the crowd.
Her decorated career includes achieving a Paramount Student Comedy Award, a Chortle Student Comedy Award and also reaching the Funny Women Competition Finals in 2016/17.
Lexx also co-hosted ‘The Jason Manford Show’ on Absolute Radio and has even showcased her talent supporting Russell Kane. She’s also had articles produced with Glamour and Standard Issues magazines respectively.
Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016 played host to Lauren Lexx’s acclaimed set ‘Tyrannosauruss Lexx’ but the comedienne has also produced two stage plays; one debuted at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2011, and has even found time to produce a first novel.
Lauren Lexx will be joined mid-set by comedian and actor, Ben Crompton. Most notably, Crompton has starred as ‘Eddison Tollett’ in five seasons of Games of Thrones. Both Lexx and Crompton have achieved memorable roles in their acting careers, with Crompton starring as ‘Colin’ in ‘Ideal’ with Johnny Vegas and BBC TV series ‘Man Stroke Woman’. He has also starred in films including ‘All or Nothing’ in 2002.
ARC, Stockton will play host to both Lauren Lexx and Ben Crompton on Friday 25th August. Tickets, priced between £10.00-£12.00, can be purchased at arconline.co.uk.
