The series is nicely broken down, each episode showing a different part of his tenure. Consequently, the journey from unexpected election winner to power-crazed leader is there for all to see. It’s a real strength of the show that it uses such credible sources to really paint a thorough picture of the man behind all the façade.
Taking stock of a four-year period means the show feels both reflective and immediate. It finds a fitting end by showing what led to the recent storming of the Capitol Building.
