The ‘All New Music Festival in Teesside’, The Gathering Sounds Festival in Stockton, which takes place on Saturday 30th September, is set to be quite the event.
Taking place across 6 stages throughout the town centre, a plethora of the best and brightest musicians the North East (and the UK in general) has to offer will come together for what will be a phenomenal showcase of talent.
London-based promoters This Feeling are taking over the stage in The Storytellers, bringing headliners Rolla and The Utopiates alongside Stanleys, Fitzroy Holt, The Facades, LOCK-IN and Liverpool-based COLUMBIA.
ARC will play host to two stages, with the first headlined by Andrew Cushin who will soon support Louis Tomlinson for part of his European Tour this year, alongside Finn Forster, a local lad from Middlesbrough. That’s not all, as amongst other acts such as Ruby J and San Quentin, pop group Deco are also performing off the back of their highly acclaimed EP, ‘Nice Car’, which was released in June.
ARC2 will be dominated by King No-One (who played Leeds Fest this year) and Fever, with a range of up-and-coming artists on the line-up including Delights, Kieran Bowe, Mollie Coddled and Lissy Taylor.
The Georgian Theatre is also playing host again this year, accommodating more of the shining stars of the North East. This pattern shines through with one of the headliners, female-fronted KOMPARRISON, and also through various supporting acts on this stage such as rock act High Tide, indie-rock outfit Provenance, brat-pop duo ZELA and indie-pop funk-fusion group, PICNIC. Other acts on this stage from further afield include Bedroom High Club, Girlband (also headlining) and Lip Filler.
The Social Room will be taken over by Liverpool promoters Evol, bringing headliners Zuzu and Mexican Dogs, both also from Liverpool. Luvcat, Headfeeder, Amebdo Blue and Martha Goddard fill out the rest of the day here, jam-packed with beats to keep you busy all day long.
And just downstairs, KU will also host a fab line-up of grassroots artists from across the country including headliners The Skinner Brothers and The Cause, with Fat Dog, Casino, The Molotovs, House of Wolves, Dawks and Northern Hospitality entertaining crowds throughout the day.
So wherever you end up throughout the day or night, you’re certain to be entertained by this phenomenal line-up of up-and-coming artists from across the UK.
Tickets, priced at £22.50 in advance, are available from arconline.co.uk.
