Just a kid from Chicago, Jimmy Whispers stole hearts with his catchy old-time melodies and his Midwestern attitude.
Now, the man who was once dubbed the ‘greatest new homegrown musical enigma’ by Jessica Hopper is living in Los Angeles and still making music, as well as becoming a music video director and filmmaker.
And this month, Whispers heads to Middlesbrough as he plays Cafe Etch where audiences can catch him playing the early classics that started his career plus some brand new music.
Support on the nights comes from Faithful Johannes and Neocia.
Tickets, priced at £11.00 in advance, are available from fatsoma.com.
