North East lo-fi folk artist Tom Dingwall returns to music with ‘4NMEMOS’, a three-track EP marking his first release in seven years.
After stepping away from music during lockdown in 2020, Dingwall found himself drawn back to songwriting this year following the birth of his first child. Picking up the guitar once again, he began recording ideas as raw voice memos on his iPhone – recordings that would eventually become the foundation for ‘4NMEMOS’.
The EP takes its name from those original phone recordings. Working alongside longtime friend and musical collaborator Alex Simpson, Dingwall transformed the stripped-back demos into finished mixes, with Simpson handling the production from his home studio.
