Penetration play The Grove on Friday 31st July, bringing one of British punk’s most influential voices back to the North East.
Formed in County Durham in 1976, the band quickly stood apart through Pauline Murray’s striking vocals, ambitious songwriting and explosive live reputation. Early releases, including ‘Don’t Dictate’ and the acclaimed album ‘Moving Targets’, established Penetration as far more than a standard punk outfit, blending urgency with melody and emotional depth.
Following acclaimed recent UK performances and renewed interest sparked by Murray’s autobiography ‘Life’s a Gamble’, the group continue to prove their music remains as powerful and relevant as ever.
