Teesside indie-folk-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Nick Cross doesn’t go in for glossy gimmicks. His humble approach is laid bare in the recent release of ‘Demo Sessions 1’, an intimately nonchalant collection of four songs recorded in a single day at his home. Nick describes the release as being “made entirely from complete guitar and vocal takes, with deliberately light production”.
The Teesside lad, who has been performing since the age of 12, usually plays in bands, including The Blowdarts and The Conscripts. ‘Demo Sessions 1’ marks a new chapter in his boldly creative solo musicianship.
You can listen to the release on all streaming platforms now.
