Following on from May’s double A-side ‘Neighbourhood/Another Life’, North Shields-based indie-rock quartet Club Paradise have just released ‘Chasing the Summer’; the full EP from which the song is taken, ‘Life on TV’, will follow in October.
When discussing the song, the band said: “It feels like you are in a TV episode. It’s like that kind of teenager who doesn’t know what to do with themselves and a nod, I guess, to what it feels like as you have to pass that point in your life too.”
The track is already a live favourite and it’s easy to see why. A stomping beat layered with guitars and synths builds through the verses to a chorus that will undoubtedly have the crowds singing along at future shows.
Citing influences from Bryan Adams, The Killers and The Midnight, ‘Chasing The Summer’ feels like an indie anthem in the making and has the potential to be a big hit.
You can listen to ‘Chasing the Summer’ now on all major streaming platforms.
