Hailing from coastal South Shields, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Gosling returns with ‘Resembles Heaven’, a defining single that firmly anchors his evolution into a masterful solo creator.
Following the momentum of 2025’s ‘The Summit Push’ EP, this latest release marks the first time Gosling has handled every step entirely alone in his studio, pulling the track apart and rebuilding it into something deeply intimate.
The result feels effortless, seamlessly blending heart-tugging songwriting with a warm indie-folk texture that fans will instantly treasure. Lyrically rich, vocally exceptional and musically outstanding, this is a track that rewards repeated listens.
Having earned a reputation as a modern South Shields-based Bob Dylan, Gosling captures poetic storytelling with uncompromising DIY authenticity. There is a genuine edge to this music, one tinged with the grit and character of the North East.
‘Resembles Heaven’ fulfils the hype surrounding Gosling, delivering exactly what his growing reputation promises. Raw, intimate and beautifully resonant, this is a remarkable piece of songwriting that demonstrates just how far Gosling’s talents can reach when given complete creative freedom.
