The BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art is diving deep with their new group exhibition, For All At Last Return, running from 8th November 2025 until 3rd May 2026.
Free to enter, the exhibition invites visitors to explore marine ecosystems, coral reefs, ocean currents, and the mysterious zones of the deep sea.
With the River Tyne so central to Newcastle’s industrial and cultural heritage – and BALTIC itself standing proudly on its banks – the exhibition reflects both the majesty of our waterways and the human impact on fragile ocean environments.
Taking inspiration from pioneering marine biologist Rachel Carson, the exhibition brings together artists, oceanographers, conservationists, and activists to create work that exists between art and science. A highlight of the show is Estonian artist Kristina Õllek’s newly commissioned piece, which blends photography, video, and microbial processes to examine aquatic ecologies.
For All At Last Return promises a visually striking and thought-provoking journey into the wonder of our oceans – and the urgent need to protect them.
