The Georgian Theatre in Stockton hosts a comedy fest on Friday 19th July as three work-in-progress shows en route to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe bonanza for 2024 wind their way through the town with the main event fast approaching.
The combination of intimate setting and still-evolving sets here guarantees shenanigans, as three performers take to the stage with a variety of backgrounds.
Opener, Rob Rouse, can be spotted in Upstart Crow, Spoons and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. Meanwhile, Blackburn stand-up Tez Ilyas is a household name on this bill, boasting a lengthy list of credits and an envious reputation as a stand-up.
In a neat booking feature, the show will be closed by the rising star of the pack, Matty Oxley, with a more recently burgeoning profile, a quirk which feels democratic and designed to spread the comedic love regardless of how the styles and paces of this line-up best slot together, as the trio hone and test their latest material.
Tickets, priced at £25.00 in advance, are available from georgiantheatre.co.uk.
