Award-winning comedian, actor, presenter and author, Russell Kane, is a regular on TV shows including The One Show, Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and Steph’s Packed Lunch. He is also the host of hit Radio 4 show Evil Genius, which has been made into a TV show on Sky TV.
Kane started stand-up in 2004 and was nominated for several Edinburgh Fringe awards, winning the Best Show award in 2010. Just months later, he won the Barry Award for best show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival (he is the only comedian to win both awards in one year).
His comedy is characterised as fast-paced, both physically and in terms of Kane’s sharp wit. His latest show, ‘Hyperactive’, comes with a safety warning: wear strong underwear – pants will be spoiled.
Russell is high-energy, high-octane, and hyperactive! His new show has been described by The Guardian as ‘Fierce, funny and heartfelt’, while The Times called it ‘An evening-long fix of stand-up espresso.’’
The tour lands at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Friday 1st November.
Tickets, priced at £33.00 in advance, are available at middlesbroughtownhall.co.uk.
