For anyone who has looked up at the night sky and wondered what lies beyond our planet, Cosmic Frequencies Festival offers a weekend of discovery, imagination and inspiration. Returning to Hexham from Friday 7th until Sunday 9th August, the festival brings together science, music, art and storytelling in a unique celebration of our fascination with the cosmos.
Created by a team of local creatives with a passion for space and exploration, Cosmic Frequencies explores some of the biggest questions we can ask, including the search for life beyond Earth. Throughout the weekend, venues across the town will host talks, live performances, films, exhibitions and interactive experiences designed to spark curiosity in visitors of all ages. From expert discussions to creative interpretations of the universe, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn more about the world beyond our own.
One of the festival’s highlights is an evening exploring the question, “Are we alone in the Universe?”, combining thought-provoking discussions with live music to create an event where science and creativity collide. Elsewhere, visitors can experience atmospheric installations and artwork inspired by everything from distant galaxies to the Northern Lights.
